Job Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled Seamstress to join our team on a 3-month fixed-term contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sewing techniques, with particular expertise in creating high-quality inners and underlocking that ensure durability, comfort, and aesthetic appeal.

This position will be based in Epping, Cape Town. 

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality stitch work that meets expectations
Select appropriate threads, needles, and embellishments for each project
Operate sewing machines, sergers, and other equipment to execute stitch work
Ensure all finished products meet quality standards and are free of defects
Precision sewing of inners to ensure proper fit and comfort
Ensure underlocking stitches are uniform and consistent throughout the product
Keep work area clean and organized
Maintain a safe and efficient work environment

Technical Requirements:
Proven experience as a seamstress or tailor
Proficiency in sewing techniques
Strong attention to detail and precision
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent time management
Good communication skills

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Certification or training in sewing, garment construction, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a seamstress (preferred)
