This position will be based in Greenpoint, Cape Town. 

Role overview:

We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer, who will be responsible for leading projects from brief to final installation. This includes concept development, material sourcing, detailed technical drawing packs, budgets, client presentations, and on-site execution. They will collaborate closely with the Design Director & Studio Manager, the Creative Director, and broader team to ensure every design is delivered with excellence, clarity, and creativity. This is an opportunity to contribute creatively and technically to a highly collaborative, fast-paced team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead design from client brief through to concept, presentation, technical documentation, and installation.
  • Prepare detailed furniture layouts, lighting and electrical coordination drawings, joinery details, window treatments, and artwork layouts.
  • Spatial planning and production of full technical drawing packs (plans, sections, elevations, and details).
  • Collaborate with suppliers, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage multiple projects across varying scale and complexity, always meeting deadlines with precision.
  • Produce compelling 3D visuals and architectural views for client presentations.
  • Navigate and contribute within complex Revit models with confidence and clarity.
  • Support and mentor junior /mid designers, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Ensure continuous improvement by adhering to and evolving studio standards and procedures.

 What you bring: 

  • National Diploma in Interior Design or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 – 7 years of design work experience, with at least 5 completed projects as a senior designer
  • Working experience in AutoCAD, SketchUp and proficient in REVIT.
  • Strong technical drawing skills and ability to communicate design details clearly.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing lighting, electrical, joinery and furniture layouts.
  • Strong eye for spatial planning, texture, proportion, and materiality.
